Great hotel in St Pancras area

We found this hotel to be way better than we expected. We started out trip in Europe very happy after a long trip.
Self Check in works good.
The hotel is beautiful.
The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable.
Great location! At Pancras meters away. Ideal to out departure by train to Paris.

Self check in misery

They now offer self-check-in, like ordering from a McDonalds screen. That was a terrible experience. The QR code they sent didn't work. Then I had to enter the reservation number in a clumsy way. Finally, once in, I had to create my room key, and that didn't stick. Finally, the bartender (!) had to step in to solve the issue. What a blank show. It's an insult to guests. Are they really saving that much money by doing this? What if you need something, anything? Speak to AI? Anyway, never again. And if that's now a common practice in the UK, sorry to hear that.

London Family Stay

For our purpose, it was a perfectly located hotel with well-appointed rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast.
For London, it was reasonably priced accommodation, surprisingly quiet, considering its location and check-in was effortless.
Their is also a small bar and restaurant on site with vending machines also available.
Highly recommend

Excellent position but let down slightly by some staff.

First stay and wont be our last. Excellent position for Kings Cross/St Pancras and to the tube stations. Our room was lovely though I'd prefer toilet roll in the bathroom rather than a paper towel dispenser. Excellent choice of breakfast though is it necessary to ask about allergies constantly?? We ate out at night. Can recommend the Pullman restaurant and Albertini. Check in was frankly a mess. One guy trying to check in a lot of people as the check in screens weren't working. There was a problem with one lift all 4 days we were here. I tried to point this out but the bar staff were completely unhelpful. As with a lot of hotels in this country there simply aren't enough staff on the bar/check in or restaurant.

Unexpected Comfort

What an unexpected stay. We left another hotel due to mold and the premier inn saved us!! Thankfully they still had a last minute room available.
Staff- fantastic staff welcomed us and helped with check in. So friendly and the genuine kindness was the same from all staff we encountered. Janice in the breakfast room kept everything running smoothly too.
Beds- for the great price I was expecting uncomfortable beds but we slept so well and they even had a bed for my daughter that was also comfortable (kids beds are often paper thin but not here)
Breakfast was delicious and SO MUCH food, we left each day feeling full and ready for exploring London.
Location- Directly across from the British Library and close to Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, this is a good location to get around.
Will definitely stay here again.
