Excellent, love it!
They have limited villas which is great so place is not too crowded. Staff were great, atmosphere is excellent, relaxing especially during breakfast. Staff do not intrude in our privacy, let us all enjoy our breakfast in peace.
Only set back is the walk in crowds during the day which we stay away until they leave in early evening.
Villa is clean, comfortable and very well designed, lots of privacy between villas.
I would definately come back to this hotel again and recomend to those who truly treasure peace and quiet. Not really for too big group as honestly I do not want them to spoil the whole tranquil atmosphere.

Not worth it
Bar was closed early! And nothing to do at resort. Highly not recommended by me.

Nice but expensive during peak period
Price differs a lot during peak or off-peak. We paid about 12000+ THB for 1 night (4 pax).
Everything started off wonderfully... check in counter staff & other service staff were friendly. We were given 1000 THB meal vouchers (for 2 rooms) to our surprise. We had a sumptuous meal of salad, pizza, fries and drinks, all within 1000 THB for 4 pax.
The resort had a laid back feel and was very relaxing. The view in the morning at the breakfast cafe was serene and panoramic. Food & drinks were good.
We checked out and waited for the housekeeping staff to check the room and gave us the OK sign. We left feeling impressed and loved. However, 30 mins later we realized we left our freshly bought fruits in the fridge and turned back. The counter staff helped to call housekeeping, made us wait for 5-10 mins and came back to say they did not see any fruits in the fridge when they checked the rooms.
What an outright lie! The fruits are inexpensive stuff. If they had admitted to taking them, we were ok to let go. But to adamantly lie about it not being in the fridge left a bitter after taste to our experience.

It was really 180 Degrees of Good View
The rooms where definitely trendy, clean and well kept, unlike the many older and cheaper resorts around. Queen size bed, long table along the wall. And it is not claustrophobic small. The bathroom is tidy and there are no unsightly stubborn stains around. Greenery surrounds the dark wood cottages and pine trees dots the compound enhancing that Alpine feel Khao Kho tries so hard to give. The buildings that make the café and reception, a heavy dash of hobbit shire charm. So, this is one place many outsiders will visit, the flood of streaming selfies to social clouds.
There is no restaurant within the resort so meals will have to be seek outside. There is an abundance of eatery and cafes very nearby, mostly featuring local Thai food but they do have steaks and such. Breakfast in the resort was rather disappointing, they are charging more than US 150 per night so they should at least have the decency to provide better than usual food and a wider selection. It was substandard boiled sausages, cold eggs and 2 to 3 very average street Thai dishes. If it was any sort of consolation, the barista did make a good coffee. The bleak breakfast was actually made enjoyable by the ultra-friendly staffs too.
You cannot escape the exorbitant pricing if you want the best of views and the better of quality in Khao Kho resorts. All hotels on strategic locations here have learned to be extortionist, charging 5-star hotel pricing for a 3-star hotel stay. Whether the stay will be worth it will depend on individual’s point of view. You pay highly for the better among the congregation of inferior resorts around.
