Was nice Hotel with the best view in 4rd floor restaurant, room was little cold, but the service and location was nice.

We stayed at Decamondo Galata for five days with our family. Overall, I would rate our experience a 6 out of 10.
The hotel certainly has charm and history—housed in a building over 1,000 years old, which adds a unique character. However, the age of the structure also means that soundproofing is lacking. We stayed on the third floor, directly beneath the restaurant, and unfortunately, we could hear noise from above throughout our stay. The sound of the staff door opening and closing early in the morning, as well as chairs being moved in the evening, disrupted our rest.
Additionally, the cot provided for our four-year-old son was too small, which made sleeping arrangements challenging. The king-size bed was also not very comfortable, which further impacted our overall rest.
On the positive side, breakfast was enjoyable, and the location is excellent—just a short walk to Galata Tower and close to the metro. The staff were friendly and welcoming, both at reception and in the restaurant. However, the restaurant team did seem understaffed at times, which led to delays during breakfast service.
While there were definitely some positives, the noise issues and lack of comfort made it difficult for us to fully enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, we would likely look for alternative accommodation if visiting Istanbul again.

The stay started off not the best. We booked a room and part of the package was an upgrade although on arrival the upgraded room was in another building and we wanted to stay in the main building really. Was given the original room we booked and asked the staff to notify us of when a room becomes available in the main building we'd like to move there. They assured they would although no one got back to us even though there was availability. Maybe some miscommunication there. Emrah however in guest relations was excellent and sorted out our issue straight away which I was grateful for. The hotel is beautiful and within walking distance to Galata and close to the old city. Breakfast was decent and the views from breakfast were great.

We spent three nights at this hotel & it was outstanding in every way.
A perfect location for exploring the heart of Istanbul, from Taskim Square to Galata to the Sultinate everything is walkable.
The quality of the hotel is excellent but it truly is the staff which makes it shine
The gentleman who checked us in around 6:30 PM Thurs Dec 19 made us feel very welcomed and offered us a choice of rooms. I'm sorry I didn't catch his name.
Tarik showed us our room options and took care of our luggage, always greeted us with a great smile.
In the fabulous breakfast room all the staff was wonderful, especially the lovely lady Çiçek (sp?) always checking on the quality of service & our experience (breakfast is outstanding go early for a sunrise view) really made our stay special.
Our room was perfectly quiet, 5th floor with a super bathroom (hot water instantly!) Super comfortable bed, nice amenities and, as noted above, an ideal location.
Even housekeeping shone with smiles and pampering!
We enjoyed their sax wine bar and appreciated them booking our taxi for our departure at a fair rate.
Really a great experience!

Brand new clean hotel in the quiet street right in the middle of all Istanbul life. Totally recommend.
